Gibbon said that most galleries and framing services did not stock them, probably because they were viewed as mass-produced works of minimal value and were veryfragile – they crack and chip easily. Nevertheless, he has witnessed a growing interest for these frames each time he returns to Paris and Amsterdam, where he buys at auctions and from dealers.
